I love it! It sounds like you're having an absolute blast. I'm so happy to hear you're there. My husband and I are rethinking our plans a bit and saving up to possibly head to Europe next spring for a while. We have a free home in France where we can live for months (with my brother and his hubby), so why not? I'll keep you posted- it would be lovely to meet in person!

Hello hello, fellow nomad! I had starred this message from you intending to reply at a later date when I knew the answer. The question "Where are you?" felt like a deeper one than just "Where are you physically" to me, given what what was happening at the time I read your comment. In mid-April, we were making so many changes in our lifestyle and now I'm ready to answer your question. We've moved to Mexico (I think you know this already) but I'm also in a mental and emotional place when I'm feeling ready to resuscitate my Substack! Just wanted you to know how much that question, "Where are you" hit me and stayed with me. I think I've finally figured out where I am and will be writing about it this week! :)

Ah the joys of making train connections! And I loved both Neuschwanstein and Hohenshwangau, though it's been forty years since I was last there. I need to take Brent!

The setting of the Alps and lakes is even more idyllic than the Disney shape of the castle, I imagine it must have been a wonderful place to live, though terribly isolated in those original days.. Now it's a bit like the Eiffel tower, very touristy, but that really doesn't matter at all :))
